NBA Betting Predictions May 3rd. Playoffs!

My 2012 Playoff record stands at 3-4 after I went 2 and 1 last night. Had the Clippers scored one more point I would have gone 3 and 0.

My season record to date now sits at (58-71) for -18.00 units.

Miami Heat @ New York Knicks

New York didn’t even play a bad game in their last matchup, but at no point did it feel like the Knicks could win the game. The Knicks are just not nearly as good as the Heat. This is most evident when you watch the fantastic ball movement of the Heat, versus the one on one little passing motif of the Knicks. JR Smith and Melo are both guilty of shooting some horribly inefficient jumpers at times. The vast majority of the Heat’s buckets are easy ones, whereas the Knicks are incredibly hard pressed to find many easy buckets. I see no reason for the Heat to slow down their sweeping of the Knicks on this night in New York.

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Dallas Mavericks

The Mavericks have been playing great thus far, and this series could very easily have been 2 and 0 in their favour. Had they executed down the stretch a little better, or had some better bounces they could very well be up headed back home. However the Mavs are now down 2 games and need to win this next game to make it a series. Shawn Marion has turned back the clock and we can once again call him the Matrix. His defence on Kevin Durant has been one of the best things of the playoffs. Dallas continues its decent play and actually gets a few better bounces in this game. After last seasons championship run which was largely built on late execution you would have to forecast that Dallas would return to some semblance of that execution… eventually.
