NBA Betting Predictions May 2nd. Playoffs!
My 2012 Playoff record stands at 1-3 after Philadelphia got the better of a Rose-less Bulls.
My season record to date now sits at (56-70) for -18.90 units.
After seeing at least a game for each of the playoff series thus far I’m feeling far more confident in my picks. I’ll forward predictions for all 3 of tonight’s games, and they’ll hopefully delive.
Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs are in the driver’s seat and won’t be looking to take any nights off. This is a different Spurs’ team than the one that fell last year to Memphis is round one. There is no way, no how they lose this series. The Spurs learned their lessons from last year’s early exit and will look to destroy Utah again in game 2. Some interesting trends: Spurs are 9-0 ATS in their last 9 games as a favorite of 11.0 or greater and the Spurs are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest (covers.com).

Indiana Pacers @ Orlando Magic
The Pacers evened the series up with a vengeful game two. The Magic will eke out at least one more win in the series by getting hot from downtown, but I don’t think it will be this next game. The Pacers are the better team and their hungry to prove their legitimacy. Big Baby has played way above his head, but Orlando can’t continue to count on him to match so well againt Roy Hibbert. I think game 3 is where we see a underwhelming Big baby game. Danny Granger has shot incredibly poorly so far in the series and there is now way he keeps this up much longer. Expect a much better game from him.
Play: Indiana Pacers @ -3 (BetOnline.ag)
Los Angeles Clippers @ Memphis Grizzlies
The Clippers pulled off a miraculous game 1 victory and are looking to carry that magic into game 2. I never feel that comfortable betting against Chris Paul in the playoffs. As he proved in last year’s playoffs against the Lakers, he can carry even a lousy team against a worthy opponent. The Clipppers shouldn’t expect pretty lay-ins from Reggie Evans again, but they should get more out of guys like Randy Foye. The Clippers make a game out of this one, but likely come up short.
