NBA Betting Predictions – March 6th, 2013
Yesterday’s record: 1-1 This month’s record: 8-3 Last month’s record: 21-20 January’s record: 34-42 December’s record: 41-45 November’s record: 36-20 Season to date record: 140-130I could have gone 2-0 yesterday if I would have gone with my first instinct, I originally had in mind to pick the Celtics but changed it. I should know to always trust my first thought. I’m still content with how this month has started though. I like 3 games this evening.
Orlando Magic @ Miami Heat
The Orlando Magic snapped their 3 game losing streak with a 105-102 win at New Orleans Monday night. They have won their last 2 road games. The Magic are 1-3 on the road against their own division. The Miami Heat have really kicked it in to high gear as they’ve won a franchise record 15 games in a row. They have won their last 11 home games. The Heat are 4-0 at home versus their own division. This is the 2nd of 4 meetings this season between Orlando and Miami. The Heat were victorious in overtime 112-110 at home in their first meeting. The Heat are really rolling and I expect them to clobber the Magic. Take the Heat -15.

Los Angeles Lakers @ New Orleans Hornets
After winning 13 of 18 to finally get back to .500 (for the first time since Dec 28th) the Los Angeles Lakers were defeated last night 122-105 at Oklahoma City. They have won 5 of their last 9 road games. The Lakers are 3-4 on the road against the Southwest division. The New Orleans Hornets have dropped 6 of their last 8 games to fall to 21-40 on the season. They have lost 4 of their last 6 home games. The Hornets are 3-2 at home versus the Pacific division. This is the 2nd of 4 meetings this season between Los Angeles and New Orleans. The Lakers are 2-0 in the season series thus far. The Lakers have won 9 straight versus the Hornets and I look for that to continue tonight. Take the Lakers -1.5.
Play: Lakers -1.5 (BetOnline.ag)
Toronto Raptors @ Phoenix Suns
After starting to look like a team on the rise the Toronto Raptors have dropped 5 in a row to fall to 23-38 on the season. They have lost their last 3 road games. The Raptors are 1-11 on the road versus the Western Conference. The Phoenix Suns attempt to tie their season-high winning streak of 4 games tonight. Their last 3 games have each been won by 5 points or less. The Suns are 5-6 at home versus the Eastern Conference. Toronto was victorious at home 101-97 in their first meeting with Phoenix this season. Despite the Raptors recent struggles (and their awful road record vs the West) I think they are a better team than the Suns and will squeak out a victory tonight. Take the Raptors -2.
