NBA Betting Predictions February 8th

Ok City Thunder won by 3 points last night, in a game that was far closer than I expected. However, 3 points was enough to cover the spread so notch another win in my belt. That makes 3 successful picks in a row.

My season record to date now sits at (18-25) for -8.50 units.

Miami Heat @ Orlando Magic

This is not the first time I’ve picked somebody to beat Orlando and it definitely won’t be the last. I really feel this Magic team is going to get far worse before it gets better. Miami hasn’t been beating teams by a lot but I think they have the requisite firepower to beat the Magic by at least 4 points. The Magic lost to the Clippers, but prior to that had a 3 game win streak. Their win streak came against 2 horrible teams and Indiana, who is still an up and comer. I must say I’m quite pleased to pick against Dwight the Diva anytime that I can. The only potenitally thing that concerns me is that Orlando can get hot and have their 3 point shooting carry them to a victory.  Miami does have some excellent perimeter defenders so I’m betting on them to keep the distance shooting inefficient.
